Kira Pollack announced as Keynote Speaker for DMLA’s Leadership+AI Summit
The Digital Media Leadership Alliance is pleased to announce that Kira Pollack will join us as the keynote speaker for DMLA’s Leadership + AI Summit, taking place September 30, 2026, at the Harvard Club in New York City.
Pollack will open the Summit with a hybrid keynote and moderated discussion focused on how artificial intelligence can be used to help build, preserve, contextualize, and make editorial and archival work more accessible. The session will explore the future of visual content in the age of AI, with particular attention to authorship, archives, storytelling, trust, copyright, and the evolving role of the visual record.
Kira Pollack is a visual journalist, researcher, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of photography, AI, authorship, and the future of the visual record. She is the 2026 Global Jury Chair of World Press Photo, previously served as Director of Photography at TIME. She also recently completed fellowships at Harvard Kennedy School and Stanford and USC’s Starling Lab, where her research explored how AI can help contextualize photographic archives while preserving photographer authorship and legacy.
Previously, Kira was Director of Photography at TIME, where she led landmark projects including 100 Most Influential Photographs of All Time. She also served as Creative Director at Vanity Fair and Deputy Photo Editor at The New York Times Magazine.
The DMLA Leadership + AI Summit will bring together senior leaders from across media, technology, publishing, advertising, licensing, legal, and the creative industries to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of digital media. Topics will include AI, copyright, licensing, provenance, content authenticity, search and discovery, economic models, and the future value of professionally created and licensed content.
The Summit will also be part of DMLA’s 75th anniversary year, honoring the organization’s long-standing role in advancing leadership, advocacy, education, and connection across the digital media licensing community.Registration is now open.
